The AC-DC concert premiered on Tuesday, September 15th in the Wrigley Field Stadium. The concert began in a flurry outside the stadium with vendors, scalpers, and thousands of fans scurrying to get inside to see the show. The vendors outside where urging concert goers to buy merchandise such as devil horn headbands with the band’s logo on them or t-shirts in various styles all labeled AC-DC. The sold out show played host to 41,072+ fans all there to watch one of the greatest bands in history. The show began with their first song of the night, “Rock or Bust”, revving up the already excited crowd. They then went on to play “Shoot to Thrill”, “Hell Ain’t a Bad Place to Be”, “Back in Black”, “Play Ball”, “Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap”, “Thunderstruck”, “High Voltage”, “Rock ‘n’ Roll Train”, “Hells Bells”, “Baptism by Fire, You Shook Me”, “All Night Long”, “Sin City”, “Shot Down in Flames”, “Have a Drink on Me”, “T.N.T.”, “Whole Lotta Rosie”, “to finish with Let There Be Rock”. They then went on to perform not one but two encore songs which were “Highway to Hell” and “For Those about to Rock (We Salute You)”. Angus Appeared in his classic and iconic red school boy uniform throughout the entire spectacle. During the last song of the night, “Let There Be Rock”, Angus Young preformed his iconic kicks, “shimmies”, and “slides”; while still being able to execute his 20 minute extended guitar solo. The energy the band has at ages 60 (Angus Young), 68 (Brian Johnson), 58 (Stevie Young), 65 (Cliff Williams), and 68 (Chris Slade) years old was that of kids fresh out of college dancing around the stage and having a blast. By the end of the night the crowd had heard 20 songs total, had seen Angus’s Iconic suit and dance moves, and were still screaming for more. It is safe to say that this will be a concert to remember for the fans for ages to come.
