This story opens up with the death of Number Three.  Once again Number Four is on the run with his guardian who goes by John and his father, Henri, for most of the story.  John is on the run from the alien race of the Mogadorians, who are the ones that destroyed his homeland, Lorien, and its people.  John must constantly train in order to develop his strength and Legacies further, for someday he must join the others to take back their land.  The others are Numbers Six through Nine.  The Mogadorians must kill these young Lorien in order, starting with One and ending at Nine.  Like any normal teen John faces normal problems, like falling in love, and fighting with others, but John also has to struggle with surviving and developing his Legacies.  This book is fast pace and will keep you turning to the next page.  Nothing really disappoints you; there is a lot of action, mystery, and a bit of a normal teen romance.  The ending is left wide open with very little questions solved, which isn’t the best way to end such an amazing book.  That was done on purpose because this book is going to be made into a series.  In the next book, “The Power of Six”, some questions may be answered but new questions may arise.  Either way this series has as much great potential as the first: “I Am Number Four”.
