Let’s admit it, we have
used technology before. iPad, iPod, cell phones, computers, laptops, and game
systems. It’s fun to use technology. For example: If you wanted to read a new
book all you would have to do is download it to your Nook and then there it is.
You wouldn’t even have to take a trip to the store. Lots of people are using
technology right now. However, here’s the question: is technology taking over
the world? Some people say yes and some people say no. In my opinion, I really
think technology has begun to take over our world, as well as ourselves. Think
about it, how many times a day do we use our phones? Remember when we used to
knock on someone’s door to get inside? Most people call or text from their
phones to be let into a house. What about quality time with family? I don’t
know how many times I’ve been out to eat and have spotted kids, sometimes even
adults, on their phones instead of talking with each other. What happened to
families talking to each other about their day? What about Facebook or Twitter?
Think about how much time we spend on those sites when we could be doing things
that are more productive. Even though technology is great and progressing as
time goes on, try to take a break from it once in a while. Go for a walk, or do
something fun with friends – like go to the movies or the mall. Who knows? A
tiny break from technology could be nice.
