Halloween is a time for dressing up, getting candy, and making crafts. A classic Halloween craft is carving pumpkins. All that the craft requires is a carving knife a bit of imagination and a pumpkin. Though, I do recommend getting some old newspaper and garbage bags for the guts. First, scoop out the yummy innards of the pumpkin and put them in a bowl for later. Then carve the picture of your choice into the pumpkin and put either a fake or real candle in the center, and watch it come to life. Another cool carving technique is to take cookie cutters and hammer out shapes in your pumpkin. After all the carving is done you can make scrumptious pumpkin seeds. Wash and dry them then put them on a baking sheet, add spices like brown sugar and cinnamon or just simply use salt and bake until golden brown. If you are not up for all of the mess you can always paint your pumpkins.
