Katy Perry’s albums never cease to disappoint me, she keeps writing amazing songs and creating incredible albums, just like this one. The songs sound more young and fun and careless. People were expecting the songs to be dark because she was in a dark mood when she started writing these songs but light crossed her soul like in a prism, so the meaning of the title of this album is just beautiful. Now, I love Katy Perry and the music she makes but some people thought that the album was utter trash which I think is a bit harsh. Sure I don’t like some songs that she writes but I wouldn’t say its trash. These songs on this album have so much emotion behind them, which is what makes them so relatable to real life problems that mainly teenage girls might face. The album made me feel happy but then some songs get to you and make you feel sad or make you think about all that’s happened to you in your life. Like her song “Roar” makes me think of all the people who have put me down in life but yet I still moved forward no matter what they said and how now I’m showing them I’m better than they thought. I personally love the album and think it’s amazing, although some songs aren’t what you would usually expect from Katy Perry like “Birthday,” it’s definitely worth listening to, and on a scale of 1-10 I would rate this album an 8. So if you haven’t heard this album yet you should probably get to the nearest computer because I promise you it’ll be worth your time.
