It’s around Halloween and that means it’s time to break out the scary movies and start telling ghost stories in the dark. For a book that will send a small chill up your spine when you read it alone in your room, I recommend the series Bad Girls Don’t Die by Katie Alender. The teen fiction coming of age trilogy revolves around two sisters, Kasey and Alexis Warren. Two innocent unknowing girls who fall into some supernatural troubles from time to time. Sometimes it’s messing with spirits, or playing with evil, possessed dolls that are set out to kill or simply playing with a spirit board. The two misfit sisters slowly grow with the help of their paranormal endeavors and become closer and more involved in their school and actually begin to have friends. No matter the trouble though, the two girls stick together and dig themselves out of it, but not without the help of some of their close friends. Normal teen girls go through drama but not nearly as much as these two. Between being possessed, called loners, losing everything in a fire, school work and juggling friends and boyfriends, the Warren girls sure have a lot on their plates.
