Halloween is right around the corner. Here are some startling horror movies that include “It, “Carrie”, and “Hell House”.

IT (2017)-  In a small town in Derry Maine kids disappear almost daily at a shocking rate. Yet, none of the adults seem to care about the missing kids or those who end up dead. But seven kids (Bill Denbrough, Stanley Uris, Eddie Kaspbrak, Richie Tozier, Ben Hanscom, Beverly Marsh, And Mike Hanlon) see more than just some missing kids, they see a shapeshifting monster that is the thing of nightmares that feeds not only on terror but the taste of children. IT remains one of the biggest horror movies made in the previous decade, with its incredible visuals, horrific scene, loveable characters, and memorable quotes with a memorable villain in Pennywise. IT stands tall with a story of childhood, friends, the 80s, and growing up and facing your fears, 

CARRIE (1976)-  In the year 1979 in a town in Maine called Chamberlain a quiet shy 16-year-old girl by the name of Carietta “Carrie” White lives with her overtly religious and vindictive mother Margaret White. At school, it isn’t any better for Carrie as she’s relentlessly bullied by most of the school, including incredibly wealthy, well-liked Christine “Chris” Hargensen. And after an unfortunate accident the bullying of Carrie is ramped up but yet she discovers something about herself that will change the course of a majority of her fellow high schoolers’ life for better or worse. Carrie remains a stark reminder of the tragedy a large group of people faces every day in bullying and how it can truly ruin people’s lives. The character of Carrie herself remains one of the most complex and interesting characters in a horror film which will for sure lead people to question who truly was the villain in this film. 

HELL HOUSE LLC (2015) Hell House is a documentary based on “found footage” of a mysterious tragedy on October 8th, 2009. It takes place in Lehighton Pennsylvania where the group of 5  haunted house creators Sara Havel, Alex Taylor, Paul O’keefe, Tony Prescott, and Andrew Mac prepare themselves for the upcoming Halloween. While doing so they stumble upon an old abandoned hotel. Without having much 

information, they buy the property filming every step to the making of Hell House. While doing so, the haunted house creators notice strange activity throughout the creating process but brush it off, believing the members are messing with each other. This all leads up to opening night where everything goes downhill with the known tragedy caused by an unknown malfunction. This movie should honestly have more recognition and will surely give you goosebumps.
