Shawn Levy’s new Marvel film that released on July 26th has people talking. The third installment of the Deadpool series had fans anticipating it since it was first announced. When the first movie released on February 12th, 2016, fans became obsessed with the merc and the satirical nature of the trilogy. This movie isn’t the first time Deadpool and Wolverine have met though, as they were both in the X-Men Origins: Wolverine movie. And it’s safe to say that this movie gave people hope for the future of the X-Men franchise.
Me and other fans were mostly excited to see Australian actor Hugh Jackman reprising his role of the Wolverine, though he stated he will never play the role again after his last Wolverine movie, Logan (2017). The movie has an 81% on Rotten Tomatoes and critics have said that the film is action-packed and entertaining. There are many hilarious and clever references, as well as unexpected cameos that act as huge fan service to fans of the movies and comics. Overall, the movie exceeded expectations and was a good way to end the 20th century Fox X-Men era. Many are excited to see what Marvel has in store for the future. Deadpool and Wolverine has paved the way for newer fans of the X-Men franchise. Fans are looking forward to more of the both of them, as their on screen chemistry and banter captivated viewers. They have become an iconic duo and the hilarious moments they share added depth and humor to the film. It has it all and is a love letter to fans, as it does a good job adding in nostalgia and new things to keep viewers interested. The dynamic duo of Deadpool and Wolverine leaves new standards and high hopes for the MCU.
