In the words of Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas: “Life’s no fun without a good scare.” What better place to be scared is there than the best haunted house in Illinois? Statesville Haunted Prison is back again for its seventeenth year of terror, and they keep getting better every year. Taylor Kwiatkowski, a senior at Joliet Central and a veteran actor in the haunted prison, and the rest of the cast have been preparing tirelessly for the opening, thinking of creative new ways and improving on new tricks to scare the wits out of anyone who dares enter Statesville. “A lot of other haunted houses rely on machines and technology for their scares, but if you were to go behind the scenes, you’d see all the hard work the actors put in here. This year, guests will experience a lot of new changes, but regulars can still count on the high quality of acting that keeps them coming back year after year.” While the exact scenes inside each of the two haunted houses you will go through are to be kept a surprise, Taylor encourages all guests to also participate in Zombie Paintball and Severed Head Basketball during their visit to Statesville.
Please be aware that Statesville Haunted Prison is a horror experience intended for adults, guests under 15 years of age will not be permitted without an adult.
