Fall Fashion

Salma Bernal, Reporter

Fall is finally here, so pull out the flannels and tall boots ladies because it is that time of the year again! Some of best things about fall are cool weather and Halloween candy, but for most girls, the fashion is the best part of autumn. This season, we are seeing a lot of ankle boots and green cargo jackets. Neon is also making a comeback. The electric shades that hit their peak in the ’80s are returning in a much more sophisticated way. Now, they’re paired with neutral colors like gray, navy, or camel. We will also be seeing a lot of brown, chunky knit sweaters that you can pair with traditional cold-weather fabrics like suede or wool. What is a fashion article without talking about make up? The best tip for this season to get the perfect smoky eye is to blend until you think you can’t blend anymore. The result is an ultra-diffused shadow that, while intense in color, still feels soft. Pat McGrath used shades of black at the Diane von Furstenberg fashion show, while brown palettes ruled at Tom Ford, Burberry and Nicole Miller. If classic is more your thing, a simple and smudgy look with a kohl pencil will do the trick. Now, let’s put aside the taupe sculpting powders and stock up on warm peach and rose blushes that make you look like you just went on a brisk, autumn walk and pair the look with a nice matte lipstick to complete your beautiful fall look.
