The Pathways to Careers Field Trip was a great experience that students from Joliet Central attended and learned a little more about all the different options they have to choose for after high school. This field trip was on March 11, 2025 at the Romeoville Athletic Center. There was more than one school attending there, approximately there were about 4 schools that went to learn about career options. There were many tables with a person that is in that profession and that knows about that topic. You could ask any question and they would answer it really quick and encourage you to pursue what you’ll like. They served lunch as well and each school got their time to go eat. It was really organized, they gave out each school a colored bag so you wouldn’t get lost and know where you were supposed to be to stay with your school/group. Most of the students that attended were sophomores but there was a variety of other older students and are in higher high school grade levels. There were all the careers you could possibly think of from cosmetology school to nursing, construction work and photography etc. The people hosting this event also were doing raffles during lunch time and people got to win candy and gift cards. One of things many students liked was that they got to get a sweet treat at every station they went to or something small that they would give. This overall was a great experience that students that signed up to go got and they left inspired to pressure the career they enjoy. This event is really encouraged to attend because it would really help you learn about your future career.
