Joliet Central Homecoming Dance 2022!
October 26, 2022
This year’s homecoming dance will be held on September 24th, 2022 from 6:00pm to 9:00pm in Joliet Central’s student center, with the theme, “The Star Steelmen Premiere: A Red-Carpet Event.” This will be the first homecoming since 2019 to be held inside the building, and to say that students are excited would be an understatement. The dance is the perfect time to dress up, make new friends, and have a good night, and students are raving.
The Homecoming football game is September 23rd at 6:30pm, the night before homecoming, where Central will play against Plainfield and hopefully bring a victory back for our school. The annual Powder Puff football game is on September 21st at 5 p.m., but that’s not all, because there will be a pep rally during the halftime of the powder puff game.
The homecoming parade is the morning of homecoming day, September 24th, at 9:30am, and the route starts on Herkimer Street and moves north towards E. Jackson Street, where it will continue and eventually end up back at Central. There will be a DJ at the dance, along with refreshments for students and staff to enjoy while they dance and chaperone.
This is the perfect time for students to get active and involved with after school activities, all while cheering Central on at the football games and parade! These are very big and important events for Central as they begin to prepare for the dance, and students are even more excited to be able to have such an eventful and fun week. Spirit week is also at the same time as homecoming week, so the students of Joliet Central are happy to show their steelman pride and spirit!
