The brand Macy’s has a traditional Holiday Parade to celebrate the upcoming holiday Thanksgiving. Celebrated in New York many guests enjoy the celebration including many activities and Icons. Takes place on Thursday, November 23, 2023, from 8:30 AM- Noon. This parade has been a traditional event in NYC starting in 1924 and continuing till now when it will be celebrating its 97 years! This parade is the second oldest Thanksgiving parade just behind America’s Thanksgiving Parade in Detroit. Many people can watch it live and it will be viewed by many on NBC and Peacock. This parade is known for its kickoff to the Thanksgiving holiday by including many blowups, famous icons loved by many, and many things for the people of NYC to watch and enjoy. To best watch this Parade Macys recommends going to Central Park West just between 61st and 72nd.
During this parade, there will be many fun activities such as; 25 balloons including Bluey, Dino, and Goku appearing, 30 floats from the Disney Cruise, 6 Balloonicles wheeling through the parade, Crew clowns, and the marching band. Also includes 5 performance groups including Big Apple Circus, Cornell Bhangra, Mvsa Studios, Spirit of America, and The Tap Dancing Christmas Trees. Lastly, there will be 17 performers such as Alex Smith, Amanda Shaw, Ashley Park, Bell Biv Devoe, Brandy, Cher, Chicago, David Foster, Katharine McPhee, Drew Holcomb & The Neighbors, Enhypen, En Vogue, Jessie James Decker, Jon Batiste, Manuel Turizo, Miss America Grace Stanke, Paul Russel and Pentatonix. Many in NYC will attend this parade, others will watch it on TV. Ultimately, many love this traditional Parade to get into the holiday spirit!
