Super Bowl LVIII is this Sunday which means it’s time to make some nachos and fire up the grill. This year’s Super Bowl is a rematch from four years ago as the Chiefs take on the 49ers. The last time the Chiefs played the 49ers in the Super Bowl was when Patrick Mahomes won his first Super Bowl. Many things have changed in the four years that have passed. For instance, Jimmy G was the QB for San Fran in that game and some feel his poor play lost the game for the team. This year Mr. Irrelevant, Brock Purdy leads the 49ers which is why I think this could be their year. One of the weaknesses that could hurt the 49ers in this game is that their run defense has not been great this postseason.. This game could be decided when San Fran has the ball as their high powered offense will need to be efficient against the stingy Chiefs defense. On the other side of the ball, the Niners defense is one of the most physical defenses in the league, who usually leave their opponents battered and bruised after facing them. The Chiefs offense will look to counter their physicality with the dynamic duo of Mahomes and Travis Kelce. Both teams have played very well this season, even though the Chiefs went through an offensive slump late in the year, they have come on strong lately with playoff wins on the road against Buffalo and Baltimore. The Niners had a very interesting schedule of playing against Super Bowl contending teams, and the Niners proved that they were the better team decisively other than a slight hiccup in week 16 vs. the Ravens. This game has all the ingredients for an instant classic. My official pick is the 49ers to be crowned champions by winning 37-25.
