On Saturday, October 19th, the big homecoming dance will be held in the main gym of Joliet Central from 6 P.M to 9 P.M. There are many exciting things people are looking forward to in homecoming, but one of the most important is the freshman, sophomore, junior, and senior Homecoming Court.
There are many candidates and they are all very thrilled to be part of this big event. “I am eager to cultivate a positive experience and fully enjoy my time at school and homecoming”, stated Cesar Arciniega, who is one of our sophomore candidates. Most of the students look forward to the positive attitude that the candidates are going to bring to HoCo! A lot of students love the positive energy that our candidates give to their party and other candidates’ parties. “I think this year’s court will be a wonderful mix of different personalities and talents.” said one of the seniors, Maricruz Aguilera. With the cheerful spirit that the court is giving, what are some of the candidates planning on doing to get the students to vote for them? “I intend to maintain an optimistic demeanor and distribute promotional items to actively engage my classmates!” shares Arciniega. While others plan on using creativity to get votes like Maricruz Aguilera, “ making catchy posters, talking to people around me so they get to know me… I will be easily approachable, promote positivity, and engage with as many classmates.” Students are all very excited to see what the court has to offer and the outcome of this huge event! Best of luck to all the candidates, and have fun on this very important occasion that many people are working on to make possible.
